The B&B Ca' dei Fre' is a charming establishment run by a family who loves informality. Our top priority is to make our guests feel at home, offering them the peace and tranquility of the Ligurian hills and sharing with them the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. We are constantly committed to ensuring the utmost care and attention in managing the structure, the garden, and all the services dedicated to guests. Our B&B is located just a few kilometers from the center of Genoa, in a secluded and quiet location surrounded by the greenery of acacia trees. The rooms are new and decorated with simplicity, equipped with two large and refined bathrooms, one for exclusive use of the room and the other shared between two rooms. The large garden surrounding the structure is available to guests to spend moments of relaxation and, if desired, to enjoy a hearty breakfast outdoors during the summer season.

Our breakfast

In the morning, you will be greeted with an Italian-style self-service breakfast where you can choose from a wide range of delicious treats. You can enjoy fresh fruit, fragrant bread, newly baked brioches, creamy butter, genuine jams, quality honey, milk, coffee, and tea. Breakfast will be served in a designated area from approximately 8: 00 to 10: 00.

We are two brothers who have decided to create a welcoming and youthful environment, to make it appreciated by anyone who loves nature and hillside views. We are two guys who have always lived and loved Fontanegli. We had the idea of opening a B&B to discover the wonderful hills of Genoa, its ancient trails, and breathtaking views. We have been animal lovers since we were children and have always had companions (dogs, cats, goats, chickens, geese, and much more). Bianca and Ciro are our dogs, while Camilla and Claretta are our sweet donkeys (you can see them in one of the photos). We manage our B&B with spontaneity and informality, hoping that our guests can appreciate our spirit. One of us has a degree in architecture from the University of Genoa, while the other is an accountant and plays soccer in his free time.

Area hills

The picturesque town of Fontanegli is located less than 20 minutes from the center of Genoa and just 7 km from the Genoa Est highway exit (Staglieno Monumental Cemetery). Additionally, it is located 12-13 km from both the port of Genoa and the Ligurian Riviera. This area is surrounded by nature and the beautiful residential villas of the city. Here, you can admire the ancient villas of the 17th century, scattered among the characteristic Genoese creuze, which extend from the valleys to the ridges. The area is famous for its numerous Trattorias that offer typical Genoese dishes. Two of these trattorias are located just 400 meters from the B&B and are very popular with locals during the weekend, thanks to their excellent cuisine and affordable prices.
